About Dampcon®

Dampcon® was founded by Marius Hanscombe in 1985. Having been involved in construction and waterproofing since 1974, Marius led the company to swift recognition as a leader in damp control and waterproofing.

In the early ’90s, Dampcon® identified the need for proprietary products. Today, we manufacture our own waterproofing compounds, plaster additives, and injection fluids. Consequently, this ensures rigorous quality standards from raw material to project completion.

Furthermore, Dampcon® achieved recognition by winning the first Business Achievement Awards from the Germiston Chamber of Business and Price Waterhouse. Upon entering the new millennium, Dampcon® transitioned into a family business, placing a strong focus on commercial and industrial projects. Simultaneously, there was an increased emphasis on BEE and site safety.

Now, as a second-generation family business, Dampcon® prioritizes customer relationships. Simultaneously, we maintain a commitment to five-star service. Proudly South African, we address unique community needs through social campaigns and community clean-ups. Additionally, as proud members of DWASA, the Damp and Waterproofing Association of Southern Africa, we actively contribute to raising industry standards.
